The Lady Magicians defeated the Lady Rams in basketball action, Thursday afternoon in Bruce Hall 82-76.
In the first half, neither team controlled the game. There were 5 ties and 6 lead changes by the half. Albany State went in winning at the half by only 1 point. Blair Scott led the Lady Magicians with 9 points 2 blocks and 1 steal in 17 minutes of action. Shonice Sprouse (Mitchell) added 7 points 4 rebounds and 4 steals in 17 minutes of action as well.
In the second half, the Lady Magicians came out and went on a 10-2 run around the 15:45 mark on a made a layup by guard Tangela Albright (Northside) making the score 40-33. From there the Lady Rams would go on a run of their own and tie the game up for the 8th time 47-47 around the 12:19 mark. Next the Lady Magicians would go on another run to extend the lead by eight 60-52 on made three point basket by Jasmine Massey (BTW) assisted by Tangela Albright with just under 8:00 remaining. From then on The Lady Magicians would hold the lead finish the game winning by 6 points.
