One quarter of defensive perfection powered Central’s girls to a familiar, 53-34, rout of District 16-AAA foe Whitehaven on Senior night Tuesday.
Still the flowers, the hugs, and the 19-0 third period were wrapped in a thick blanket of uncharacteristic mediocrity for the Warriors (18-3, 11-0 and No. 1 in The Commercial Appeal’s Dandy Dozen), who have dominated area teams for the better part of two seasons.
