This game was close throughout but started to go Snowden way towards the end of the 3rd quarter. However, Germantown did not quit and went on a run at the end but finished short of pulling out the victory.
End of 1st quarter tied 8. End of 2nd 13-14 Snowden. End of 3rd 18-22 Snowden. Final score 32-35 Snowden.
If you keep up with middle school basketball, seventh grader Tia Wooten should ring a bell. However Snowden and Germantown displayed some other very talented young ladies during this game.
Tia Wooten, Snowden, All around player, very athletic, rebounds, handles the ball, shooter, can get out of control at times, but that is expected from a 7th grader
Kaylan Parks, Germantown, A beast on the block and boards, has a nice touch on her shot
Jessica Baker, Germantown, I haven't been to many middle school games, but this young lady is one of the best pure shooters I have seen.
Janeka Williams, Snowden, I love her game. She always seem to be around the basketball, can shoot the three, but will also slash and penetrate to the basket and does not mind going left.
Brianna Mitchell, Germantown, is a legit point guard but also has the ability to score off penetration or behind the arch. Is a floor general
