•By the numbers: Gulledge, a 6-2 senior power forward/center, had 22 points, 20 rebounds and 5 blocks in a 73-67 win over Coldwater in the 1A North State final. She also totaled 46 rebounds, 33 points and 15 blocks in wins over Vardaman, Shaw and Myrtle.
•Coach-speak: "She has been a very consistent, hard-working player her whole career and she had extra motivation this year because she was not named as one of the top players in the state," said Jason Thompson.
•The 411: Gulledge is averaging 18.9 points, 13.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.

•College: Gulledge has signed to play at Furman.
•A family tradition: The Gulledge family has provided plenty of talent for Byers. A cousin, Abria Gulledge, is a freshman, Kyra's sister Kenyata graduated in 2009 and Abria's sister Brionne graduated in 2010.
