University of Memphis women's basketball player Ann Jones (Liberty Tech) was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week.
The 6-3 post player from Liberty Tech High in Jackson, Tenn., averaged 5.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the Tigers' victories over St. Louis and Belmont. Eight of her 13 rebounds on the weekend came off the offensive glass.
