Malinda Allen, Commercial Appeal Player of the Week

Malinda Allen, Westminster: Allen — who is headed to Duke in the fall on a soccer scholarship — is doing pretty well in her "other" sport. Last week she averaged 41 points as Westminster won three games. She poured in 62 in a 77-21 victory over Central Baptist last Friday and followed up with 40 more in a 50-28 victory over Hutchison on Tuesday. For the year the 5-11 Allen is averaging 31 ppg.
