2012 Granny's Girls Basketball Camp Recap

I am a couple of months behind on this post. However, I wanted to share it with you.

On November 17, 2012, over 35 young ladies participated in the 5th Annual Granny's Girls Basketball Camp. It is a charity camp in honor of my grandmother, Mattie Mae Woods. She passed from lung cancer in 2008.

Participants are able to attend the camp for free by donating 2 six-packs of Ensure shake. Then I give all the donated shakes to the American Cancer Society Memphis Chapter to provide to cancer patients. Each year the donation is provided at a critical time because the chapter always seem to run out of Ensure by November.

This year the camp was broken down into 3 sections where the players learned how to develop quick feet, quick hands and how to become a balanced player.
