Jessica Green has been hired as assistant coach for the women’s basketball team for the 2013-14 season.  The Memphis native comes to MSCC after a stellar four-year career at Christian Brothers University in Memphis and serving as an AAU basketball coach for four seasons.

Green graduated from Lausanne Collegiate School where she lettered four years for coach Wayne Kelley while earning All-State honors and helping lead the Lynx to the 2008 state championship.  Her high school recognition also included All-District and All-Region honors while being named to the Memphis Commercial Appeal “Best of the Preps” team.

Green then accepted a basketball scholarship at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, and played for Coach Sarah Condra.  In four seasons at CBU, the three-point specialist was named Academic All-Conference three years while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. Green also served as team captain as a junior and senior, and finished her collegiate career with the third most three-pointers and third highest three-point percentage in CBU history.

Green also has been heavily involved in the Memphis AAU scene, coaching with the Memphis Elite and Bluff City Magic travel teams the last four summers with Don Williams. She is currently working in the MSCC academic enhancement program and helps in college recruitment in addition to her coaching duties.
