In the last episode, I showed you a short video of my nieces that I'm working with. I can't wait to be able to look back at the video and see how far they have come.
This episode is highlights of 5th-9th graders attending my training on Monday, February 11. You get to see players warming up and going through the agility and ball handling skills part of the training.
During the agility session, the players worked on a ladder. They are training their feet to move quickly. This is essential when it comes to defense, to shooting the basketball, to rebounding and more.
During the ball handling session, the players are working with 2 basketballs. It's important to work on your strong hand, as well as your weak hand. It's difficult to adjust to using two balls but as the players continue to go through training they will become better dribblers, passers and be able to make both left and right-handed layups with ease.
Although it's not shown in the video, the players also worked a lot on their shooting technique and free throws.
This is just the second day of training and I have already seen improvement in the players.
