The
MHEA Lady Eagles return their entire cast from last season, MHEA also
picked up a significant transfer in Samantha Price (former Memphis FCA
Star & All-American.) Plain and simple Coach Tracy Rice has her
best team ever, and that's saying alot. MHEA first burst onto the
national scene in 2010 when they shocked the nation (and themselves) by
knocking off National powerhouse HCYA in the National Semi-Finals. This
began a string of success within a program that has been unmatched by
any in the history of HomeSchool Girls Basketball. Since 2009 the MHEA
Eagles have amassed 10 Gold balls, 8 Undisputed National Championships, and 5 Silver balls in the 10u, 12u, 14u, and18u age groups. Because
of the success MHEA has experienced in the younger age group the Eagles
have always lacked a strong senior class. Not this year, for the first
time in 6 seasons Coach Rice is the one with the Division I recruits
(Torri Lewis and Bailey Wilkes) to go along with a big off-season pick
up. To put this into perspective Lewis (Ole Miss) and Wilkes (Union
University) were both in 7th grade when MHEA rose to power and they have
played a pivotal part of the 18u success MHEA has experienced every
year since 2010. Lewis and Wilkes are household names for anyone who
has followed Girls HomeSchool Basketball recently, these girls have won
so much hardware in their career it is ridiculous. Despite all this
success as a program there is one item left to complete MHEA's
unparallelled accession, the 18u Undisputed National Championship
Banner.
