By Patosha Jeffery, The Girls Basketball Trainer
August is here which means school is right around the corner. August 5th to be exact for Memphis. To help you kick off the school year on the right note, I wanted to share with you 4 tips to help you maintain good grades.
You know that I love the game of basketball. But most don't know that I am equally passionate about academics. Being a STUDENT-Athlete was very important to me.
I graduated from junior high school with the highest GPA in the 9th grade class. I graduated from high school with the second highest GPA as co-salutatorian with my teammate. I graduated from college in the top 10% of my College of Business class.
Before you take what I just said the wrong way or discount your abilities to accomplish what I did, understand that I was not the smartest person at the school. I just knew what I wanted and did what I had to do to get it. I was not even trying to accomplish the things I mentioned.
Watch the video to see what I really was trying to do and how you can too.
In the video, I refer to other videos, lessons, and tips. You can find them at the MVP Roadmap.
