Riverdale Middle: All Out. All Game. All Season.

As Riverdale girls middle school basketball has been down for quite awhile, two young ladies, Ally Reyna and Riley White, have helped bring the program back. Both have started for the team since 6th grade.

Two years ago, they won two games. Last year, they won 14 games and stunned Lowrance in the District tournament allowing them a seed in the all county tournament.

This year, along with center Caroline Sadler and forward Hannah Huffman, have already defeated Lowrance and Highland Oaks.

This past Thursday, Highland Oaks jumped on Riverdale 13 to 0. Riverdale roared back to defeat Highland Oaks 28 to 30 to stun their fans at home. The win happened behind balance scoring from the two 8th graders which included great ball handling by Riley White and strong defensive/offensive rebounding presence on the blocks by Ally Reyna to stifle the tall and quick Highland Oaks team.

The team never quit! They stayed focused and got the job done! This team is not flashy but really shows what it takes to play as a team!
