Adrian Wiggins, who turned the Fresno State women's basketball program into a regular player in the NCAA Tournament, is leaving to take over at the University of Mississippi of the Southeastern Conference.
"It's the hardest thing in the world to drive away from here," Wiggins said Monday night. "I'll miss every day I had here. I had the time of my life."
Wiggins will be introduced as the Rebels' new coach Wednesday.
Terms of Wiggins' contract weren't available, but he said Ole Miss will pay him about three times what he made per year at Fresno State.
"The SEC is a premier league and I'm looking forward to that challenge," he said. "And it's hard to turn away that kind of money."
